I think another back to back baby is in store

I can feel strong limb like movements behind my belly button.

Mw last said that baby was on right side head down and slightly back to back.

She also said that she thinks because of my muscle damage this baby is just going to swing where it wants as it has nothing to hold it in place.

What to do!! Hmm

i fear i am in same situation as you; currently 28wks, so plenty of time for moving but i fear dxc1 stretched things in the wrong way and dc2 will just follow his footsteps so to speak? would love to hear people who had back to back first babies who then had right way up second babys.

DC1 was back to back, DC2 was the right way round!
Unfortunately DC3 was also back to back.
The differences in the labours were amazing: both back to back were 9+Hours long with epidural, episiotomy and forceps.
DC2 was 1.5 hours with gas and air only.

Both mine were back to back. It's rubbish. Do you think sitting on hands and knees often would help? it didn't with mine

My first dd (three yrs ago) was good position, 3ish hours. Natural tear and gas and air.

Second dd, unknown back to back. Slight 2nd degree tear from old scar, her labour was super fast at an hour to the exact minute.

It's bizarre as I felt better after dd2 labour. And in labour it seemed more fierce in pain but maybe that was the speed of it. I gave birth on the hospital bed on my side semi laying down. But I didn't find it any harder like they usually say for back to back.

I just feel anxious for back to back this time as I know it's happened before, with dd2 I hadn't a clue!

I try the hands and knees on floor, and I sit up and stand etc, but I find that if I do this, then as soon as I go to bed, or rest or when driving it's just limbs flying about out front!

Both of mine were badly positioned. DD1 was back to back, although nobody realised until I was 10cm dilated. With DD2 I did all the exercises to get her in optimal position but it made no difference and she remained side on throughout and I ended up with another long labour and forceps delivery. Both of them were big babies though and I honestly think that in DD2's case, there was just no room for her to move (she was 10lb 8oz) because once they had moved her into the correct position with the forceps, she came out really easily.

Midwife today, baby is 1/5 engaged so only one to go... It is back to back still though. (Third pregnancy)

Last baby was B2B but I didn't realise until she was out. Super fast but very intense. No pain relief

But will try more to get it into a better position

Both DD1 and DD2 were unknowingly back to back. Shocks for midwifes on both occasions as baby appeared face up! Funnily enough a student midwife had commented that she thought this but was told no!! I delivered both easily within 2 hours and with only gas and air! X

Been trying all fours, sleeping in left, birth ball but no change yet. 37 weeks on Sunday.

It's bizarre as when you hear of back to back labour you get told it's not manageable as such. Like a natural normal position.

I had two fast labours, the only differences with dd2 (back to back) is that it was very fast, intense labour pain more so in my back, and waters broke first which didn't happen with dd1.

So I could try and get this baby into a better position but would that potentially give me a longer labour (dd1 was 4hrs but short established labour and only 22mins pushing)

I think it's gone a funny position now because the strength of the the movements around my left front side are unreal ..so I think the back is on my right ? I just can't work out how it can still be head down when I feel so much movement down there... Been funny engaged for two weeks as far as I know

I had a back to back labour with DS and I too have a funny feeling DC will be b2b. But I don't know any different so I'm not too concerned.

My labour was 4 hours in total with no pain relief (I begged but they didn't believe I was in labour anyway). The pain was unbearable but I'm not thinking too much about it. Pushing was fine although I did get a 2nd degree tear
