Is a sweep classed as part of Induction?

I'm seeing my consultant this week on my due date and on my notes it stated IOL on due date. This is due to spd and suspected big baby.

What I'm trying to work out is what's the likelihood of getting a sweeps and just being left to see what happens or do I take my hospital bag with me and assume baby will be induced this week?

Personally I want baby out and would agree to induction (not so keen on the drip idea but pessary and breaking waters is fine by me)

I asked for one early. My consultant attempted a sweep at 39+4 but no luck so I was induced at 40+5, no sweep just went straight to the pessary. I only needed one pessary and my waters broke 6 hours later so no need for drip etc. Good luck and look forward to hearing baby news
