Childbirth

is there any birth plans i can print off off-line?

as thread asks, i am writing up one at moment, but want to make sure i have it all. sure i will miss something out

my birth plan had one line -
"lots of drugs, yes please!!"

i'd like to read others' too

I didn't have one for ds as had no idea what i'd want/not wnat, but have lots of opinions this time!

some things I had in mine - well the ones I can remember:

use my first name and dh by his name (gave names)

want to be mobile

will consider painrelief as and when - gas and air makes me sick won't entertain, don't want epidural

dh to be involved (will cut cord etc)

to be delivered to chest

want injection to deliver placenta (they don't always tell you this is an option before birth)

want to walk up to ward afterwards (obviously not always possible but to me I wasn't ill so didn't want to be pushed up in a wheelchair!)

no pre-reg midwife or nursing students to be present - will consider post-reg gaining experience if discussed with me first.

dh to be kept informed if I become unconsciousness and emergency occurs!

i didn't write a birth plan with either of mine

DS1 i knew i didn't want an epidural and DP wanted to cut the cord

DS2 i forget and as i was thinking about it, i was pushing him out!!

NOt sure yet about what i want this time
