Sex after episiotomy

I had a ventouse and episiotomy 7 weeks ago and have been very nervous about having sex again, the midwife checked my stitches after 2 weeks and said it had all healed then last week the doc gave me condoms and lubrication at my post natal check.

Last night I plucked up the courage to try and expected it to be painful around the opening which it was a bit but the most painful bit was inside by my cervix.
I just wondered if this was normal?
It didn't feel like a bruise, more of a sharp pain in a specific area and I'm wondering if it's possible I could've torn up there and it was never repaired?
I don't remember being examined internally after dd was born, just the eternal stitching.

Its very possible you could have torn there and it not to be picked up at the time. I'd suggest going back to your GP and asking for referral to gynae consultant, or at least they can have a good look.

It could also just be some bruising still, or a 'graze' that is still healing but doesn't require any stitching.

7 weeks really isn't very long at all after childbirth. It's possible that you were torn or grazed internally, and that might still be healing.
