Ooh exciting!

Sorry to say but your contractions could be all over the place for a while. Easier said than done but try and get some rest tonight. Take paracetamol to help with pain. If still not regular tomorrow try bouncing on excersise/birthing ball and walking about the house.

Good luck. Let us know what you have.

How are you getting on?

Have you tried having a shower or bath to ease pain?

Take a phone in with you in case you need help x

Hi

Just an update so this morning contractions were coming every couple of mins and lasting over a minute to 2 minutes each time.

Hospital advised to come in - only find 2cm dilated so sent back home - car journey slowed contractions so managed to get a little bit of sleep - contractions now picking back up again and I'm about to go for a walk to help things along.

Waters still not gone and they say that is what is causing the incredible pressure I'm feeling as they could feel the babies head this morning.

I'll let you know what happens

Early labour can be so long and boring
Have u a ball to bounce on?

Report
Piercy · 10/04/2013 20:17

Been bouncing on ball and been for a walk contractions at 8-9 mins apart they slowed today but the pain is now getting worse MW suggested a bath but it will either speed contractions up or slow them down - I don't want to slow down!!!!

What she i do?

Hi

After a complicated labour I was rushed off for a c section as only 4cm n things were going wrong after 20 mins of prep in theatre they discovered I had gone from 4cm to 10cm in 20mins!!!!

So delivery done by foreceps and we welcomed baby boy Hayden in to the world weighing 8lb 4oz he is in SBCU at the mo due to complicated labour but is doing well.

Whilst still in theatre my OH pulled a ring out of his pocket and proposed to me - what a day I've had (said yes of course)

Not sure why I wrote a birth plan as I wanted water birth n no foreceps!! But at the time I just wanted him out the quickest and best way possible for him
