sorry, not sure if this is the right place but, my dd is now 8 weeks old and i stopped bleeding when she was about 5 and a half - 6 weeks old, but recently have been spotting brownish blood, is this still the end of the bleed or the next 'normal' period beginning???

Hiya, I think it depends on the method of feeding. I had a three week bleed postpartum but I couldn't breastfeed cause of the meds I am on. I did express for the first two months as I was very engorged but as soon as I stopped my periods came back proper. You might just be having the end of the last bleed - have you got any other normal pre-period symptoms? What I found was that when my proper periods began again they were INCREDIBLY heavy - I even rang NHS direct cause I was so scared by the volume. Apparantely this is really normal and goes on for the first two or three months after but my little one is now 6 months and my cycle is back to normal. If you are at all worried see your GP.
