Hi ladies I'm not sure if this the right place to post?
I have had two little boys and me and dh would love another but I am petrified of giving birth again. My first baby I was pushing for 2 hours his head came out but the rest of him wouldn't, after some manovering and the McRoberts manover he was born leaving me with a large 2nd degree tear which didn't heal properly and I had to have futher surgery 6 months later, he was 8lb 3. With my second child I delivered his head easily and was then told to stop, I was put into the McRoberts manover again and he delivered but needed oxygen. I was left with another large 2nd degree tear he was 8lb 6. I was just wondering if this sounded like shoulder dystocia? Would i have to go natural? have i got grounds for a elcs?
Sorry for the long post

Hi, I can't help with the shoulder dystocia question but where do you live? I'm sure in some places you can request an elcs just because you want one.

I'm sure this is case where I live (Wales) as my sister had one but she had to fight for it and stand her ground when mw/consultants were trying to persuade her to have a vb.

Could you google it to find out if this is the case in your area?
