can anyone tell me what signs to look out for that might indicate you may be heading for a premature labour? my baby sometimes feels really low, like he is about to fall out in between my legs and someone said it might be an indication that i might have him early and now i'm a little worried.

that is a common thing to have. The ligaments stretching etc. Its not a sign of premature labour. Not IMO anyway.

a friend went into labour vvvv early and only real clue was a leaking of fluid - turned out waters had broken but baby's head plugged exit so it only leaked out. Thankfully mother and baby were both fine, but i don't think there were any other signs. You should definitely get checked out if you are in any doubt at all. They won't think you are silly, and if the baby is low they may want to do a scan anyway. How many weeks are you? I had contractions and was convinved cervix was opening at 22 weeks - midwife took it very seriously even though ith hindsight I probably over-reacted and they were just braxton-hicks! She certainly didn't want to dismiss my concerns. In the end premature births cost the NHS an absolute fortune so they will do all they can to prevent them!

I started leaking at 30weeks. the stupid doctor sent me home instead of hospital. I had an emergency c section 14hrs later. another sign is vomiting & frequent toilet stops about 1 week before.
