Hello everyone, I'm 7 weeks pregnant with my 1st and considering a private ELCS. Has anyone been under the care of Mr Attalaikos (Portland and Fitzrovia at UCLH) who would be willing to share their experience?

Comments gratefully received!

How interesting that UCLH are now offering private maternity. I wondered when they might venture into that. It's really reasonably priced too, for a private c-section.

I can't help with Mr Attalaikos, but having looked at the Fitzrovia suite website (here) I can recommend Mr O'Brien. He undertook my NHS ante-natal care and then performed my c-section at the Portland. He's very capable and calm.

George Attalaikos is a really lovely, professional and caring doctor. I was under his care (NHS rather than private) during my recent high-risk pregnancy at UCH and it was doctors like him that made a terrifying time bearable.

Thanks you very much to both of you for these messages! I'm so pleased to hear you both had positive Consultant experiences.
