I had a lot of BH's from around 19weeks with DD1.. she was a quick delivery.
This time around I started getting them around the same week, but they have intensified already, with DD they were very very strong/rock hard later on. i am now 25weeks with DC2 and they feel so hard and i get them quite frequently too..
just wondered what impact this would have?

I had none that I noticed with DS and he was supposedly a fast labour

Likewise I never noticed any BH throughout pregnancy and had fast labour - so no pattern here.
First labour fast = subsequent labours fast though?

That's what I've been told by the midwife
I'm interested in this too! Had an elective c/s at 38 wks with my 1st but had no BHs whatsoever up until then (so I can't compare). This time I've had them since about 24 wks, am now nearly 33 wks and getting them many times a day and almost constantly when they do come. Am trying to avoid a 2nd c/s you see...

I think that if you have a long latent labour then provided you are rested you get a quick active labour.

I had loads, from really early on, and hoped the same thing. Sadly not - 27 hours in labour.
I had loads of Braxton Hicks with DD2 from about 17 weeks. The evening before she was born they were a little more painful than usual but not much.
Woke up the following morning at 8 am with mild back ache. DD2 arrived screaming at 9.30 am, 5 weeks early.
So, for me, the two were correlated. Pregnant with DC 3 (only 10 weeks) and cramping lots already. I hope that this doesn't meant that the BHs will start even earlier this time

I had none in three pregnancies. I had quickish labours with the 1st two. 8 and 7hrs.
The last labour was 20mins so very quick I think.
