Just been to midwife for a sweep, she confirmed that I am 4cm dilated, so surely my wee girl should be here soon. What do you think??

p.s. 3rd baby

Dunno (with my DD I was no cms at all when my waters went but delivered 4 hours later)

Shouldn't be too long though, best of luck x

Oooooh RTL/. Things could well hot up quickly if this is your third. Have a good stiff walk or do some cooking. You'll be glad of it when she arrives.

All the very best. x

Think she's on her way, fast, given she's your third... hope it goes well!

Wooohoooo Redtartanlass!!

I was 4cm dilated when I went to hospital with my 2nd. I felt like such a fraud coz I didn't really have any contractions, just a mild backache!!

I stayed like that for about 4 hours until the midwife broke my waters. Took about another 2 hours of mild contractions to get me to 6cm..... then WHAM dd was born 50minutes later.

Go out for a walk if you want to get the contractions going.... or get some sleep.

Hmmm, dont' want to disappoint you but...

I was 4cm on Friday morning about 9am, ds born on Sunday morning 4.45am - so 2 days later!!

3rd baby too.

I wasn't in hospital all this time either - midwife checked me at home on the Fri am and I just niggled along at home till 2.15am Sunday morning when I work in full on labour. So only 2.5hrs of 'proper' labour in the end.

Just an update...went to bed, have just had the best 2 hour sleep for weeks, but STILL NOTHING!!!

Just mild period pains that come and go.

With ds1 waters broke at 2am had him at 8am, but that was 20 years ago. With ds2 waters broke Sat, induced Sun, born wihtin 2 hours of iduction!

So with this one who knows...but don't think 6.20pm

It would be great if she could come before Sat as my Dad is going to India and wee brother is going to America, and as my mum is dead that would mean all my family away. Don't you love supportive males!!!

Still nothing....going to bed in disgust
Midwife said I shold make Whoopee with dp to hurry things along, but I've fallen out with him.

Do you think hitting him very hard with pillows will have a similar effect?

With each of mine, it took me a long time (varying between hours and days!) o get to 4 cm, then 20 minutes for everything else!!! Hope you're near a midwife......
