Just need some advice really. My grandson is 9 years old and weighs 10 stone already. He never stops eating and raiding the fridge but this needs to be nipped in the bud soon as his weight for his age and height is very unhealthy. I would appreciate any advice or tips on how to help him if anyone has any. Thanks Dawn.

That must be so hard for you. Does he live with you?

Encourage him to eat things like plain potatoes, carrots, green vegetables, and not to eat puddings and snacks too much.

Who does he live with? Really, the person who cooks the food needs to cook it plain.

Is it possible to limit the food in the house?

My DCs weren't allowed to help themselves to snacks without asking until they were 15'ish. Is it possible to insist that he starts asking? I know this might be a hard rule to introduce retrospectively.
