Got to give one of my girls antibiotics, that should be fun!

Got a poorly chicken. Did some googling last night and decided she has sour crop. The vet confirmed it today and tipped her up over a bin to 'empty' her of rather a lot of foul liquid. Who'd have thought chicken keeping could be so erm... interesting?

I did have to laugh when I popped into the vet's this morning though. I enquired politely whether they 'did' chickens and the young girl on reception told me that they did indeed have a vet who dealt with 'exotic pets'.

Maybe we need a more exciting name than 'chicken keepers'?
