HELPING HANDS for families caring for sick or disabled children at home.

The national children?s charity WellChild understands that caring for a sick child or young person brings unique demands, stresses and disruption to daily life that affects the whole family. We realise that often you are unable to tackle larger household tasks such as decorating your child?s bedroom or making the garden accessible and stimulating, as you simply do not have the time or resources to make these plans a reality.

This is why WellChild has developed the Helping Hands scheme to provide one of practical home improvement projects that have a positive impact on the quality of life of seriously ill children and young persons. Our projects range from a full bedroom makeover providing beds and storage as well as decorating the room top to bottom, to converting a garden into a fun, appealing, safe and accessible play area.

WellChild uses the support of volunteer teams from local companies to carry out these projects all across the UK, and it is our aim to help as many families as we possibly can.
If you would like further information about how Helping Hands could help with your project then please contact our Helping Hands project manager on:

If you want your link to display text other than the web address itself, leave a space after the address then add the text before the ]]. So "Look at [[www.mumsnet.com this page]]", would display "Look at this page".
