SO WHO WANTS TO TAKE PART IN MNERS FUNDRAISING EVENT FOR JAMES BULGER?

I've emailed MNHQ and asked if we could set up a fundraising event and use them as a sponsorship company, I haven't heard back from them yet but I'm just doing this anyway

I would be really grateful for any ideas for an event which could be done countrywide wherever you are! I have a few ideas but nothing solid obviously.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE support us on this one it is something that is very close to my heart as I'm sure it is to everyone else's.

Get back to me on here and give me your suggestions

THANK YOU

This is for James and his family xxx

good idea, but yes, what exactly is it for? Have his family asked directly for this, are they directly involved?
What's the name of the charity? I'm sure if you give all this info and anything else relevant, you're get some support.

Okay sorry I forgot to post the link for it but it's there now.

MMJ - Yes we know it was 16 years ago! But that little boy still has no lasting memorial other than his grave and after the way that little boy suffered he deserves it!

Yes his family are directly involved with this the pics are there of his mother I wouldn't post a fake charity.

Well I must go for now but I will be back on later so if anyone is interested then leave a message I'd be glad of the support.

I know it was a long time ago but it's a worthy cause and I think it'll be great if it works it could be fun for us MNers too!

Please think about it!

stephen lawrence has one in SE London so why not James Bulger? His case had such an effect on the national psyche, amazed that nothing's been done sooner but good that it is now.

Hello again all, thanks for replying. No probz mmj I figured that you posted beforehand.

I didn't know Stephen Lawrence had one already, I think it's the perfect tribute to anyone who's been killed as a result of violence as a child because it is always bullying and if it can stop one more person suffering the same fate then it must give the families some sort of comfort, it's like making them into guardian angels I guess.

Hey Just thought I'd give you a quick update!

MNHQ haven't agreed to let us use their name yet they say they will sit on it for a while and talk about it... I'm guessing it's going to be a no!

BUT myself and a friend who is a musician have omposed, written and sung a song for the fund, which we are performing at the local theatre on Friday aftrenoon so hopefully we can get a few quid for him then!!!

Links and smileys: To insert a smiley face, , type [smile] or :)
For a big grin, , type [grin] or :o

Links The simplest way to insert a link is to enter the link itself, surrounded by [[ and ]]. So if you type [[www.mumsnet.com]], the link will display as http://www.mumsnet.com. If you want your link to display text other than the web address itself, leave a space after the address then add the text before the ]]. So "Look at [[www.mumsnet.com this page]]", would display "Look at this page".
