Hi

I am a Mum of two working for an educational charity and we work with well known film companies to create free official community resources to accompany the latest feature films (see www.damaris.org/guilttrip)

Our free resources help a wide range of community groups to engage with the themes and ideas explored in the films, so I wanted to let you know about free resources we have created to help groups explore the issues raised in The Guilt Trip (in UK cinemas 8th of March 2013), see www.damaris.org/guilttrip . The Guilt Trip is a heart-warming and hilarious treat for all mothers and their grown-up sons and daughters everywhere, for Mother’s Day and beyond. I want to encourage daughters and sons to take their mum to see The Guilt Trip when it opens at Mother's Day weekend.

The first ever mother-son road-trip movie, The Guilt Trip follows Andy Brewster (Seth Rogen) and his mother Joyce (Barbra Streisand) as they spend eight days together on a journey across America. Over the 3,000 miles of ever-changing landscape, he is constantly aggravated by her antics, but over time he comes to realise that their lives have more in common than he originally thought. His mother’s advice might end up being exactly what he needs.

Our free official resources are detailed below and can all be downloaded from www.damaris.org/guilttrip - where you can also ask us to send you the free resources on a DVD mounted on a glossy book.

Our resources comprise:

Movie Moments - short features that use clips from the film to spark discussion and reflection about personal, everyday life issues. These two features explore the questions "As we become independent adults, how can we appreciate our parents in new and thankful ways?" and "As our children become independent adults how can we relate to them in new and positive ways?"

Leader’s Guide - an essential companion for all our resources, it contains template posters, invitations, themed recipes, quizzes, discussion questions and background information. Available as a downloadable pdf file or as a free printed book and attached DVD of all our resources.

All of these official resources can be found at www.damaris.org/guilttrip

Many thanks.

Kate
