Hi there,I thought I would let you know that I am running the Marathon des Sables this April. This is reputably the hardest race on earth, according to Discovery Channel, James Cracknell amongst others. 250kms running in the desert heat over 7 days! Pretty crazy thing to do but I am inspired to do such things! I am fund raising for my sisters charity www.thebabysnowfairyfund.org.uk/ which is very special to our whole family.
The Baby Snow Fairy Fund is a Charity that helps local Intensive Care Units to purchase the latest equipment that can save babies lives.
It has been founded in the memory of Esta's niece, Neve Faye, whose name means ?Snow Fairy?. She was born to Ross and Elisa in April 2010 as the third of natural triplets weighing 2lbs 7oz. She bravely battled infections for nearly three months but tragically never made it home.
A year later, our son Monty only survived childbirth thanks to Royal Devon and Exeter's superb neonatal unit, but this horrible experience barely came close to that endured by Ross and Elisa. Any money Esta can raise by running the MdS will help their first target of purchasing a new ventilator at St. Peter?s Hospital, Chertsey.
