This bugbear appears again and again, with several young children suffering accidents involving looped blind cords. It's something I'm v. anxious about, with good reason I feel, given that manufacturers continue to make, and retailers continue to sell these dangerous window blinds in the UK, which have already long ago been banned in other countries.

RoSPA now have a campaign to raise awareness and hopefully set about changing the situation. Their website generally has a lot of good information about child safety. Well worth a look.
