When visiting Morocco last summer, I met a sweet little girl, aged just two and a half who is severely deaf and mute. She is exceptionally bright but more and more isolated by her deafness. There is however hope: simple surgery could solve her problem. Whilst surgery itself isn?t that costly, the cochlear implant is way to expensive for her parents (approx £15 000).
A friend is running for Wissal in Dubai on the 23/11, I am organizing events in London, and selling donated clothes through eBay. Being able to hear would enable Wissal to go to school and become independent, things that we often take for granted.
You can definitely help by:
- You can sponsor My friend?s run (http://www.helpwissalhear.com) or by UK cheque addressed to ?Help Wissal Hear? (to be sent to 55 Basset Road, London W10 6JR).
- You can attend our next event in London. Next one is at the Masbro Centre (87 Masbro Road, London W14 0LR) on the 18/11. Please confirm your attendance to firstname.lastname@example.org
- Or, if you really can?t afford to donate, by liking our Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/HelpWissalHear ) and spreading the word
