Hi. Action on Pre eclampsia (APEC) is the only UK charity solely devoted to supporting those with pre eclampsia and campaigning for better research and treatment. We run a helpline for those affected which was inundated following last Sundays Downton Abbey. Pre eclampsia causes the deaths of 7 women and 1,000 babies every year i the UK. In the vast majority of cases this is due to substandard care therefore APEC run study days for midwives/doulas/student midwives and an annual conference for specialists. As with all small charities we are facing tough times and would really appreciate your support.
