So could you drive it away Gales?It does sound easier to pay for it with a card and as long as the money is in there I imagine it will be hassle free. Thanks for the reply. Last car I bought was over 10 years ago!
The last couple of cars I've bought the dealer has wanted payment by debit card. Very straight forward indeed.
Looking at spending about £10k. Do people still pay with a building society cheque or do a bank transfer?Ideally I'd like to agree the purchase, go away arrange insurance etc, come back and hand over the money/cheque and drive the car away. No opportunity for the dealer to go bust or anything. Anyone know?Thanks
