Britax first class or eclipse?

which would you recommend for a bmw series 3 and Nissan Quashqai?

For my dd who has reached the20lb weight limit for her maxi cosi?

I think both the seats are pretty much the same, although of course the First Class can be used from birth-13kgs rear facing. 13kgs is about 28lbs, so you could have it rear facing.

The First Class does have an alternative seatbelt route when fitted forward facing, which could be useful if your seatbelt buckles are on long stalks (rather than being recessed into the seat).

I have a First Class and really like it. I've used it from birth for all three of my babies, my older two were forward facing in it too, but DD2 won't be because I have bought a bigger extended rear facing seat for her. Although at nearly 3 1/2 years old she is still just a little shy of 13kgs so I do sometimes still use the First Class rear facing in other people's cars for her.

Incidentally, your Maxi Cosi infant carrier will have a weight limit of 13kgs/28lbs. 20lbs is about 9kgs, which is the minimum weight for forward facing, but it's always better to keep your baby rear facing for as long as possible (ideally until at least 4 years).
