Just thought I'd let you all know joie I anchor is on offer in mothercare currently, you buy the seat and get the base free meaning a saving of £115!
The best bit is the car seat is the only one we have found that is I size isofix and seatbelt compatible!

This could well be the answer to my prayers! I need a car seat that can easily switch between cars, so with this offer I could buy this seat with any extra base for my DHs car.

Can anyone recommend this seat? Would it be good for a 2003 Focus?

Its a good seat but recline isntbfab so of your seats slope then the recline is further reduced which can make head falling forward worse. Whilst this isn't dangerous many parents are then put off seat. Check out the fitting list on joie website for vehicle compatibility.

We looked at this today but the seat is quite a lot narrower than other rear facing seats. Having a chunky monkey I don't think there's any way he'd get to 4 years old in it.

I agree the recline isn't great, our LG is basically sat up right even on the furthest recline but to be honest it's the best seat we have found to meet our needs.
Justine87 it fits into a 02 Mondeo estate nicely so shouldn't be a problem in your focus!

When we got ours they wouldn't it sell it to us without checking it had been tested with our car.
It has and my mum's car we've gone with it. The deal was only available with red, but that doesn't bother me in the slightest.
