what car next ?

i am wondering what i should do about my children's car seats dd 1yr and ds 4 yrs both need new car seats .. i like to look of the one that turns to face the door maxi cosi axis car seat . but im wondering weather to just get two 9mnth - 12yrs car seats for them both instead ? and what ones are the most comfy / practical as ds is constantly moaning that his car seat is uncomfy ....

I dont want a booster seat as i heard they dont offer much in the way of protection .
