Grin

Psyching myself up for spending so much money but after seeing the crash test dummy videos I can't not buy one.

Can't wait to take DD out for a drive in it after shoe-horning her into her infant carrier for the last few weeks!

Tell me now, before I commit, has anyone bought one and regretted it / not got their use out of it / DC hated it?

Sorry can't help but out of interest which one did you go for? My twins are just 10 months and both quite small so think they will not outgrow their group 0+ for another few months but need to starting looking soon...

It is the Britax 2 way elite I am going for too. I have a teensy very old Micra, and apprently it fits well into that.

I brought one but not using it yet. I doubt there will be any regrets!

We only have one car, and tbh DD will only be in it max one day a week (walk her to CMs and I drive to work, DH doesnt drive) but every now and again we go on long 4hr plus drives for holidays so we will hopefully get the use out of it.

Our car is three door, and the seat belts in the back are very very short so she has been in the front passanger seat since birth (no passanger airbag) and poor DH in the back seat Grin. It'll be nice for DH to sit in the front again.

I got the britax 2 way elite when ds1 was about 15months and growing out of his infant carrier. He's now 3.5 and we've had no problems with it in that time, he travels well in it and seems comfy. It's not quite as good for him to nap in now as it's got the 'leg' bit under the seat rather than on it to give more space for ds1's legs (that'll make sense when you get it) so it doesn't recline as much but tbh he rarely sleeps in the car now anyway. When I've had to move it it's been easy to do.

Do you need to put anything under the front of it when in recline?

We have the IzICombi BeSafe isoFix, which I find easy to move between cars (although some don't) - fits well in our Kia Sorento, DM's Micra (is a 2006 model though) and the PIL's Verso. The weight limit isn't as high as the Britax though - only goes up to 18kgs. Small child does like the height and the view from it.

Dh is 6'2 so we need plenty of room for the legs. Thankfully i am very short so even if the TWE elite needs more space, it can go behind me.
