BeSafe Izi Combi in Mothercare

Sorry if this is already common knowledge but I was in mothercare yesterday and they were selling the BeSafe Izi Combi.

They had it on a prominent display and had leaflets about it too. I know Mothercares car seat fitting service does not have the best of reputations but I did over hear the sales person saying she'd choose it for her own children.

I think it's at least a positive step that more people will know about erf seats, I didn't know they existed til I came on here!

They are suppose to be rolling out in all mothercare stores which is a positive step. At least each fitter in mothercare is actually trained on halfords and toys r us they are trained by someone who's gone on a training course.

I hope it make people more aware of them but I also hope people continue to support ERF independant stockists too.

"new from Sweden"...ha ha gotta laugh really - not exactly new just that mainstream retailers are finally realising they cant ignore ERF any more!

I am glad to hear this, it's a start, at least :)

There's a new mainstream ERF seat available too - can't remember the brand now, maybe Mamas and Papas? It's similar to the Axiss in that it swivels to the side but can be used forward or rear facing until 18kg.

Just a note about these seats. Be very careful when changing the covEr as on the arm rests in particular there is very flimsily attached polystyrene which is screwed onto the seat with a plastic screw. On our seat both sides of this have broken where the screw is attached as it is not protected from even the slightest knock to the side. Not what I would expect from a £300 seat. My maxi Cosi mobi is very sturdy in comparison.

Tracey contact besafe, they will send a courier to collect your seat and send it back repaired and checked over. If you bought through securatot they are brilliant and will arrange it all for you, I cant recommend them enough Kirsty and Jayne are very customer focused and know their stuff!
