Quick Q about Britax 2 Way Elite

Was there once a car seat called the Britax Elite?
How different is it to the 2 Way Elite?

I should add, the Elite we have is about 5 years old now, could it be a 2 way elite?

Hi yes there was an elite car seat. They appear to be exactly the same seat only the two way elite has two clips on the back of the seat to attach the tether straps to.

I have one of each and they look exactly the same. DS managed to wee in his car seat today so his 2 Way Elite is currently drying. It wont be ready for tomorrow so I was wondering if I could install the Elite rear facing. The tethers can be detached easily.

I thought the original elite could only be installed forward facing? i could be wrong though

i wouldn't.
you don't know what else it may have as part of the internal frame that makes the 2 way suitable to rear-face.

may not just be the tethers.

He'll just have to sit FF in the Elite for tomorrow whilst the other seat dries out.

i'm nearly sure that i was told by the in car safety centre that they were the same seat, but i have baby brain! i would call them in the morning to check to be sure before you use it as i got both seats from them.
