Extended RF car seats for regular removal/refit?

Due to my work/CC I'll need to swap the car seat between my car and my mams. We both have the same car so that bit is easy but which car seats are easy to move?

No shops selling them locally and we can't take 2 cars 3 hours to the nearest one. We are likely to get them from this shop as they have a good choice but want the whole range of options/recommendations first

They are all a bit of a pain to move, think the Two Way Elite is the lightest though. You can buy a second pair of tethers, fit the tethers into each car and then only the seat has to be refitted.

My guess would be to avoid the seats with the leg as they might be trickier to fit and move, but have never had one so only a guess.

Thanks, is that the one they've started selling in the uk ? They didn't have it in the shop Im looking at visiting so may need online

you can only get the TWE from the in-car safety centre afaik... where in the country are you?

Cumbria. Nearest place is Wigan but it's approx 3 hours each way. They don't have it on their website.

might be worth giving htem a ring, they're very knowledgeable and may well be able to confirm if it'l fit in your car

Thanks. That's one of the cheaper ones too isn't it. I'm v at £200-300 each. Dd1/2 seat was about £80

i would say the twe as well and just leave a set of tethers in each car. what car is it you need it fitted in? maybe someone on here has had it fitted in their car or you could call them.

Yaris. Do the tethers get in the way of using the seat? Are they likely to be fiddled with?

I have to transport other children hence tsking the seat out

the tethers attach under the seat in front, there are various ways of attaching. when not in use you can just roll them up under the seat

definately the TWE. I often have to take mine out and it takes no time at all to fit it back in another car. Really does help if you have an extra set of tethers straps but its no major issue if you dont as once you've done it a couple of times it super quick and easy.

or the KISS (Akto Graco Duologic on some Swedish websites)- it can be isofixed or belted in place, and doesn't require tethers - tis a sinch to move between cars :) Might be useful to have as an alternative option if you want two seats to compare :)
