hello - we don't have a car but want a seat (9kg+) that'll fit various grandparents' various cars

would you trust the britax fit-finder to point us towards the right one? we can't really try it out before buying as the cars in question are at the other end of country.

and is britax OK? the eclipse seems to fit all the 4 cars we need it to.

thanks! (have been tearing hair out ...)

Yes I would trust it. But it is only a guide and it may limit your choices far more than you need to. Is the seat going to go in the other cars very often of is it just once a year.
One idea could be to get a really good seat for the car you child goes in the most and then a cheaper one for every one else's car. Britax don't always check every new seat in every old car but that doesn't mean a newer seat wont go in a older car.

You could get the grandparent to check a few seat in their cars. If there is a seat you would prefer some of the newer seat have easy to move up harnesses and places to hoot the straps while you get the child in.

The eclipse is a very light seat but the clasps to hold the seat in can be very tricky if you are doing it lots.

Sorry for the ramble. I guess what I am saying is look at all the seats find one or two that you like and fit your car and then get the grand parents to get them tried in their cars

Britax are a good quality make.

I don't drive and use a Kiddy Infinity Pro which goes in every car I've ever tried it in, and is easy to fit and lightweight too.
