pebble vs cabriofix???

So sorry if this has been asked recently- had a look but couldn't find any threads...

We are trying to decide on a car seat to go with the stokke xplory.

We hadn't realised we needed to by the isofix base...and an already expensive pushchair is getting dearer...

Is the pebble worth the extra money? Is the carbrio fix a good option? It seems the base makes things quite helpful...

any help appreciated!!!

Have been looking at the two myself and although I think the Pebble looks nicer, Which haven't rated it as high as the Cabriofix for safety which is the main concern.
I think it is the 'wings' on the Cabrio that provide better protection.
Neither of them were reccomended without the Isofix base.

I have got the Cabriofix and base and both brilliant. The base has been a really good buy as it makes things so much easier (have got a Quinny buzz). Will be gutted in about 2 months time when I won't just be able to carry D around in her car seat.

Pebble all the way !!
Are you planning on having a Maxi Cosi Travel system or Pushchair?
If so its worth the every penny of the extra ££'s just for the memory buttons that you press to release from the wheel chassis, its a simple 'press, press and lift' !! saves that awkard postion you have to get into with the Cabriofix when you hold in both levers and lift at the same time (believe me as my baby got heavier it got more awkward)
I was lucky to get given a Pebble but would buy it over the Cabriofix for this feature only every day.
Sorry its not easy to explain but very quick to demonstrate though !! I don't have the base as it fitted my old Easyfix base but I gather the new familyfix base has an extra recline position too, might be worth looking

Just reread you original question and noted you did say you were looking at a stokke xplory, I don't think the 'press, press, click' function works on wheels that aren't Maxi Cosi !! best check with Stokke
By the way if you do want the base as well Halfords usually have a buy 2 seats (including bases) get 10% off

We have bought the pebble. It fits onto the easyfix base or the familyfix base or just using seat belts around it, we still need to decide on what to do on that aspect!

We were sold the pebble as the new updated version to the cabriofix. Little things that maybe gimmicky, like the release of the harness but also that it is better supported around the back. Also it's 1kg lighter than the cabriofix!

Hope that helps a bit.
