The website says its suitable for babies 9kg and up but then it says Ca 9 months - 3.5 years. DS is 7 months and 9.55kg so can he go in the next seat up or should he stay in his current one until he's 9 months?

Hes getting a bit too wide for his current seat

no

keep him in current seat till he hits the top weight limit of that (usu 13kg) or his ears stick over the top

Have you taken all the newborn padding out of the current seat? which one is it?

Can he sit unaided for 20 minutes? Its not all about the weight. Like Mrs Badger says, he's ok til his eyes/ears are level with the top.

They can stay in the cabrio until 18 months.

Ive taken the newborn padding out and yeah its the cabriofix hes in.

I'll just have to try and manouvre(sp?) him into it. Hes doing ok with the length its just hes a bit chunky so its tight with getting him in it.

Thank you everyone

They are quite narrow aren't they. He'll look teeny in the big boys seat though

hmm - by this age/weight I'd leave it in the car with the handle flipped back (iyswim) and just cram him in in as few clothes as possible at the last minute before you leave, rather than using it as a 'baby carrier' round and about.
