Camping

Want to book a caravan in Cornwall. Any good campsite or holiday park recommendations?

Have never stayed in a caravan or on a campsite before so don't really know what I'm looking for!

Cheap-ish and by a beach would be good. But will be booking for the Summer so know I am asking a lot!

TIA

Do you want lots of entertainment, clubhouse, swimming pool, that sort of thing?

Or somewhere quiet?

Thanks for that link

Surfermum, I'm after somewhere fairly quiet... a pool would be good but not the whole evening entertainment and kids club thing

Just checking out 'Cool Camping' and these look good:
Clippesby Hall clippesby.com, Norfolk
Doward Park {[www.dowardpark.co.uk]] herefordshire

There are tons! Where abouts are you thinking?

ok, have a look at these:
Treen farm Campsite (no web address)
Ayr holiday Park ayrholidaypark.co.uk
Dennis Cove Camping denniscove.co.uk

Not been camping in Cornwall myself but I knwo there are lots of campsites. Well worth checking out The Camping & Caravanning Club as all their sites are very nicely kept (and are quiet)

Happy planning!smile

We've stayed at Pentewan Sands www.pentewan.co.uk/ and it's sister site Heligan woods near St Austall a couple of times.

Pentewan has a restaurant, good sized shop, clubhouse, swimming pool, tennis courts and private beach. Heligan Woods is very quiet, small shop and great views. The good thing is, you get a card that gives you access to everything at Pentewan which is just a 5 minute drive away so if you fancy a day on the beach you can just pop down without having to be surrounded by lots of people and kids clubs etc for your holiday. It's a good position to visit some great places in Cornwall too.

Have a lovely time.
