I think it was more basic back in the day
I don't remember a pool? We stayed in a mobile home
Did lots of boating on the lake though

we used to take the motorail south - does it still exist?
most odd, overnight train then breakfast in the station restaurant in Bordeaux

We flew to Bordeaux and hired a car - fantastic site. The children's water park area was a hit and the lakeside beach was brilliant. Maybe the only downside was the music from the bar area - but we were there most nights anyway - the children loved it! (but not ideal if you have toddlers to get to bed early) Just got back yesterday and can highly recommend - we all had a fab time.
