DS1 is desperate for one of those but at that price he doesn't have a chance!

Did you see all the hanging bits inside it?

Yes - it did look good but agree its rather pricey....ponders....you could 'adapt' your own .....Ikea sell plastic curtain things, net type things....

Be warned though - they only fit this year's model of tent - even if you've bought one this year, it may be last years stock iyswim and the fastenings are in the wrong place.

oh they have been up in arms about this on ukcamping

also, we used to zip the bedroom compartment up to the top at night to stop the dds from escaping, you can't do that if you have a 'cat-flap' at the bottom !

  • just bung some Ikea curtains & throw in some soft toys into your existing bedroom!

MrsR - no - this is a 'room' that goes inside your family tent to replace the 'standard' bedroom

I've got one that I can't use, brand new and still boxed. We have a Montana 6 2006 model and the kids room are only compatible with the 2008 model.
Nowhere on the box did it give this information and dd1 was very when we had to tell her she wouldn't be sleeping in her jungle.
Wonder if camp shop will take it back, all we have done is to take it out the plastic wrapper?

noooooooooooooooo don't do it. They are so gimicky. This is only one small step away from outwell producing a leisure line in camping outfits.

"YES, you too can look like your tent"
(2 design styles Outwell blue and Outwell sage green).
If you have a Lake design tent, all purchases of the polycotton outdoor gerkin will come with a free nerkerchief to match your plaid curtains.

I know it is coming.

it's inevitable. Did you see you can get his 'n' hers matchy matchy rucksacks to go with the kids room fabric?

They are at gopping level factor 5 as far as I'm concerned.

sorry I have just realised that judgyness on a camping thread is not on and I will have my membership revoked if I carry on.

I'm sorry.

Kids room? yeah why not.

kids room ceiling and walls are darker than existing room, was hoping that this would keep dd's asleep for a little bit later than 4am.

realise they're not to everyones taste but when you are only 3, the idea of sleeping in a pretend jungle was exciting.

so, slubberdegullion, I can't interest you in my useless kids tent for a montana 6

But but but.........

I must be missing the point.

Surely camping is exciting enough for kids without trying to make your tent look either like a jungle pop up you might have in a toddlers bedroom or some kind of soft play centre.

awww cali, erm thanks but no thanks.

I think the monty 6 is a jolly super tent without any adornments, but look you could get yourself some outwell soft balls and get your children to throw them into your nighttime wee bucket. Tis almost the same thing.

ooh, hold on a minute - loving the kids' room, but rather worried that slubber has a nighttime wee bucket. Does this mean we have to take a daytime one as well?

Confused of buntingdom.

'tis ok slubber, balls came free with the kids room!

will try and take it back as wouldn't have worked anyway as we ended up just having one big bedroom and both airbeds bumped up together.

didn't stop the usual happening, 4 of us in one bed
