Toying with the idea of one of these, other types like Outwell are very expensive in comparison.
Just wondering because its so cheap what has it been like.
Thanks.

Don't have experience of that one in particular but having browsed the shelving range at a camping show recently, the cheaper the item, the cheaper and thinner the shelves are. Many we saw at that price range already had warped shelves. Depends what you were going to store on them. Clothes - no probs. Tins - maybe not.

And it's full sunshine and blue sky down here in the south

I got one of these from Argos last summer for my birthday

The shelves are fine for clothes but I would replace them with MDF ones if you were going to use it for food. I hang clothes on the outside of it if needed.

I'd wait until they are reduced though if you can - mine was half price. The Outwell shelves aren't that much better tbh.

might of guessed its only raining up here in the northwest
Thanks, Just thinking of clothes mainly so might just buy it and chance it and if its terrible then maybe get some MDF like you suggested Lucycat.
Thanks again.
Heading down south this weekend so hope you keep it sunny for me

are you in the NW too Tidgypuds?

I'd get one - just take the instructions with you - the poles are all different sizes and I usually put mine in wrong first time

We've got two of these but got them in Robert Dyas or somewhere like that - they were about £15. They're brill - we have a shelf each for clothes on one, and on the other store things like games, magazines, torches, toilet bags.

Maybe it's just me, but why do you need shelves to go camping? I can see that they could make things more convenient - but staying home is even more convenient...!

And how do you fit shelves in car on top of everything else?! (they would literally have to go on top of the dog in our case!)

Surfermum - that's a brilliant idea! Why has no-one thought of that before.

Thank you biscuits!

Dilbertina - we have a trailer and a top box, so not problem transporting them. It means we can all find things when we need them - the alternative was having stuff stored in bags and then having to remember which bag things were in, and rooting around to find them. I feel less stressed because inevitably it's a case of "Muuuuuum where's my xxx", and the tent is less cluttered as there is somewhere to put things. And where's the fun in staying at home?! Anyway we don't bother getting them out for weekend trips, it's our fortnight or week long holidays when they get used we find them extremely useful.

Lucycat -Yes, so you are too?

Surfermum, thats a good idea, will look into it.

Really would like something, will just make things a little more organised and last year our suitcases were stacked on top of one another and the kids thought they were great for jumping on and off all the clothes were crumpled as a result, hence wanting somewhere else to put things.

Justjules yes the crates come in handy, maybe if the shelves are strong enough on it I will put a crate or two on there.

This is only the 2nd time camping with the DC but feel I am a little more prepared this year but I want to know what else do you take to keep you more tidy/organised when you go camping?

Its fab, the shelves are already MDF, it packs into a carry bag, wasnt too difficult to put up and seems really sturdy and it even has a hanging rail!

I will let you all know, setting off Friday Morning.
