am looking at fishery creek site or 'the oven'. would prefer the creekside one, but worried my friend might find location hazardous, with her 2yo.

anyone know the area?

is it nice?

am planning a long weekend for 4 families with 8 chn aged 2-6, so want to get it right!

hi noonar

we stayed at the fishery creek site last year and it's not a bad site although we didn't have dd at that point so can't comment on children facilities.

Will say it seemed to be the quieter end of the island though

thanks mum to one!

did you remeber if the creekside pitches were well fenced off?

have heard the island is a bit run down in places . did you find that?

'quieter' as in nice and peaceful, mum2one, or 'quieter' as in not the place to be??

they weren't fabulously fenced off chicken wire and vegetation but easy to get onto the creek

we definately found the island was run down in places but they had started to do it up

quieter as in you need to have a fair hike to the beach side fairground although there is a train and the local pubs are a bit grotty were as a bit further down they are a bit nicer.
