Nah. The whole joy of camping is NOT having to talk to anyone else unless you really want to. It is fun, really, honest!

Cappucino, we've just done it! Our first camping trip ever and it was wet and windy BUT we had a great time, the kids slept and we didn't talk to anyone apart from the people we went with . Infact, it was a great laugh and Dd1 adored it (Dd2 is too little to notice the difference!)

We took sleeping bags, douvets and blankets - we were toasty! (oh and i also packed hot water bottles - they helped!)

brandy, okay

oh I am getting better - actually some people reckon that a cold is a good sign, because you can get a heightened immune system with ME, so it could be a sign I'm getting more back to normal

now back to camping

I need to buy a head torch then

and what about coolbags? Can I buy a really pretty spotty squishy one with pretty forks and spoons and a big bit in the middle for food?

or do I have to buy some ugly tin cups and a cool box?

will the ugly option actually be better or will it make no difference?

wow

but that would make them irresistable to small girls, which isn't necessarily a good thing

yes it was a floral loveliness thing I liked, but not in Milletts

just wondered if I was putting Bimbohood above food-storage properties

we take a big capacious coolbag and the spare cutlery from the kitchen
the dinky ones with the stuff strapped to the lid are only useful for picnics IMO

Well, we have just completed our first camping trip and despite the howling wind, slashing rain and cold nights, we did have a good time. We need to sort out the sleeping arrangements though because that is the one thing that will deter us from becoming long term campers.

Oh, and remember to take ear plugs for the inconsiderate ignoramuses who do not have the sense or etiquette to keep the noise down when others are trying to sleep.
