That's not really anything to 'do' in Rye, other than have cream teas or wicked fish & chip meals at the Inkermans Arms! Fabbo reall olde worlde sweet shop too!

um, just had a quick look at website, and see there is camber castle.
have 3 dc's. hoping for good weather but any ideas if itisnot?

loads...
you just need an explorer ordnance survey map.
so you can do Camber, or rye harbour which is a nature reserve. There's lovely beaches and villages all along the coastline.
Go inland to Battle and see the Abbey
or to Bedgebury which is the national pinetum and has a fantastic adventure playground
Hastings is tacky but fun, typical seaside resort

Pett Level, great beach for finding crabs and stuff.

walks all around the area.

Bodiam Castle, real fairytale castle.

Dungeness

Winchelsea Beach.

Country Park near Hastings

Good swimming pool.

Beckley woods is lovey at this time of year.
It is more difficult if it's raining though

rye harbour.. shoudl be good, we have been there before for a weekend and enjoyed it.
