Budget very low I am afraid. This looks ok to me??

Yet what would I know!!

Lucycat, I am still totally undecided, have been thinking about your Vango Venture 500 too. Yet this might be a bit big for us, or hard for me to put up alone as I do have pelvis/back probs. Are you still going near Newton at whit/half term??

if you are looking for a tent you can put up by yourself you really need to go to a good tent shop and they will be able to advise you.

We have a tent (Kyham) that you can put up by yourself quite easily but its not as cheap as the ones you've seen

Both the tents you showed aren't very tall - great if the weather is nice but if it is chucking it down you might want a bigger living area to play games etc

hi piratecat
i have just bought one of these- it ticked all the boxes for me and my 2 dc and a price i could afford! it was £59.99 in blacks. am hoping to have a couple of nights away bank holiday weekend to test it out

the man in the shop reassures me i will be able to put it up by myself, although i dont have any phyisical probs to hinder me, just rather dappy!

ok thanks!! will keep looking. Its a very long tent, in comparison to some. The porch is a good size.

yes i started my thread without seeing yours!

i took it to my in laws house yesterday and put it up in there garden to test if i could actually do it before going anywhere. it was easy, the only bit my ds may need to help with is holding one end of the pole while i make it arch iyswim butit didnt take me long to do.
it is a very spacious tent am impressed with it.
now just need to test it in real camping

hiya, ok sounds good.
I had a look at Blacks online but they don't have it, only the 250 and 450.

We have a blacks in a town about 20 miles away, i might give them a call.

good luck!!

i dont know where abouts you are- i bought mine in maidstones blacks. if that anywhere near you.
am hoping to go away this weekend in it- just somewhere local to try out, i've never been camping by myself before. but i want to go to wales in the summer for a week so would be best to try somewhere local first i think.

enjoy camping! just a caution - I recently bought my tent from blacks and it turned out I'd been given one which someone had brought back as faulty! Somehow it had got out onto the shelf. They exchanged it for a new one, no probs, and took a few extra quid off but I only noticed because we did take time to put it up in the garden first.
