Woo-hoo! Had a great time but it was bloody hard work on my own with ds's - next time dp's definitely coming! But I loved bedtime when they were snuggled up to me and the lantern was hanging up in the tent and I loved the cooking on my little 1 burner stove. sigh! Can see how it could get addictive.

Am going to attempt to save up and buy a tent for lots of 2008 spring/summer camping!

You are a brave woman putting the tent up on your own. I salute you.

Hurrah! Well done you! it will be so much easier next time, with or without dp as you and boys will know what to expect!

btw we were tidying our camping shed and we are going to sell our Vango Venture 500 tent if you are interested?

It's this one that we bought last year and used for one weekend in Anglesey, then decided it was just as easy to put our tunnel tent up.

We're looking for about £50 with free delivery (I think I can manage to deliver it about half a mile to your house ) anyway have a think and let me know.

That will take us down to just the 3 tents then......

I went for 2 nights and put it up all by myself!! Had a very panicky moment at one point when the sodding thing wouldn't do what I wanted it to, but kept walking round it and lifting and shifting bits of it and it all worked out! It was a Khyam rigi-pod/dome tent, so really big and the poles are all built in.

Yes, I'm still shattered and my bones are aching - good job I've got lots of padding!!

Lucycat - I'm at work so no time to look at your tent properly - can I get back to you this evening - THANKS for the offer in advance though - much appreciated and I'll post again tonight.

Hi Lucycat - thank you so much for your offer but I think we're going to wait a bit before buying and then probably go for a bigger tent - if I start saving now I might be able to go for a tent similar to the one we went in! But many thanks for thinking of me!
