Royal Avignon 6 vs Sunncamp Shadow

Calling camping experts. I think our year long search for a tent is coming to an end. I have considered so many different types/brands based mainly on your comments. For DH and I, the main sticking point is finding a tent with a large sleeping area where we can sleep together as a family (with our 3yo DTS).

So I have narrowed our selection down to the Royal Avignon 6 and the Sunncamp Shadow.

The Sunncamp is big but it is lighter by 10kg than the Royal. The Royal has a larger hydrostatic head which, considering the rains we have had lately, is something of a bonus.

So, I'm looking for views on either of these.

Are they easy to put up?
Are there any disadvantages of which I should be aware?
Will they take up all the bootspace in our Zafira so that we need to purchase a roofbox?

Many thanks.

we have a royal Avignon 5 - have had it for about 3 years and it has been great. Very straightforward to put up, though you do need 2 people really. Has withstood quite a bit of wind and rain in its time!

We have an outwell indiana 8 which is as similar shape to the royal avignon and I find that having the canopy at the front is a great bonus, we put a windbreak round it and use it for cooking. It is also handy for leaving stuff under such as bbq or wellies if it rains giving more space inside. Ours is very easy to put up we start from the back and work forward and takes 2 of us about 30 minutes.
We have a fiat ulysse and we can get all of our stuff in the car for a weekend (2 adults and 3 kids) but for a week or longer we do have to have roof box on but then again our kids are older (13, 12 and 7) and insist on taking body boards etc.
