Good campsites in Cornwall / Devon for 20mth old near beach / with pool?

We're thinking of taking the plunge and going camping in June with DS who will be 20mths in June. Can anyone recommend a good campsite in Devon or Cornwall that is near a good beach with rockpools and sand and maybe even has a pool or facilities on site? Many thanks.

We're going to Trevornick at Holywell Bay, just south of Newquay.

Bit unsure about it at the moment, I'm a bit concerned that it may be a bit big for us, but our dd's can walk to the beach and there is a pool on site too.

link here - they even do the old Eurotents thing if you don't fancy taking your own.

challaborough

My friend has a "static" here - she calls it her little place in Devon !! she's a pikey at heart!!

Anyway - right by the beach, has a fab indoor swimming pool, lovely walks over to Burgh Island and if you can stand it there's a "club house" thing with kids club etc !!

We've not been yet, but have booked to go to Tregarton Park near St Austell. We've got 4yr & 2yr old, it's not got a lot (outdoor pool & play area) but reviews on ukcampsite.co.uk look very good.

we're looking for campsite near Tintagel - just a bog standard, 'normal' campsite place, you know, field with hookup and bogs! that might take a campervan? Anyopne know anyehre? (we want to go for just a couple of nights in August, so I'm aware we might already have left it too late...

There are about 3 campsites in Tintagel, we camped there last summer - and booked the week before, but we didn't need a hook up. We stayed at Bossiney Cove, about 1 mile east of the village centre. It has a lovely little beach you can walk down to from there. and a shop, and a walk to a mystic fountain in the woods, but that's about it for facilities.

there's also a campsite right near the headland that looks good, I can't remember its name but it's in between the village and the headland with castle, with panoramic views over the sea. again, it's not got loads of facilities but I think it'd have hook up and a shop.

oh thanks Fennel, we know that area pretty well and Bossiney is beautiful!

We normally visit in late June but this year, we're doing our little tour on the way back from a festival in Devon, staying 2/3 nights in Penzance with friends, then working our way up to our favourite spots round Tintagel (I don't think I can live without my yearly visit to Trebarwith Strand )

What we particularly want is campsites in Devon or Cornwall which are walking distance (or ideally right on) a beach, and don't have lots of facilities - we prefer not clubhouses or pools etc. Any ideas? Dp particularly wants somewhere you can launch a windsurf board straight from campsite to beach, we know of Surfer's paradise but are there smaller ones too?

ah fennel, no 'clubhouse' needs for us either And I'd pay extra not to have 'evening entertainemtns' (unless star gazing and wine drinking count )

Kitty we have a campervan plus awning, but we are looking for electric hookup as we'll have been camping for around a week by then and will probably be craving some light/heat etc

Pentewan has its own Beach, if thats any good? You'd need to book ASAP though!

Also try the sites in Dawlish Warren and Charmouth- wood farm is a bit of a walk but manor Farm (iirc will check) is near enough

Try Monkey Tree near Newquay. Its about 10 mins from the beach (by car) to either Newquay or Perranporth but they do have a pool and have just spent the winter improving other facilities (bar, etc).
