When we went camping last year & dd was about 7 months we brought one of those baby sleeping bags (proper camping one) & she slept next to me on a blow up bed, it worked & she was fine i cusioned her round the sides with pillows.

We have a Nomad Travel Cot which will last them up to 4 years ( depending on height of child). very light weight, lot lighter than standard cot. Easy to use. Took it camping in a tent last year with our DS at 7 months. Have used it lots since when visiting friends and family.

Is expensive in comparison to other makes but lighter, and length of use really over rides this. Comes with sleeping bag which can be split in half until they are old enough to be in one. So bottom is used as additional padding.

I'd go for a double self-inflating mat so she can't roll off (like EVERYONE does with a lilo) and a grobag to hinder any crawling attempts. Make a nest around her with your sleeping bags until you're ready to curl up with her.
