Pillows

I need pillows to sleep, as does my husband. Last time we camped we just took one each but it wasn't enough. Ideally we'd take the pillows we usually sleep with but they take up loads of room. I had thought of getting those vacuum bags you roll but it seems they don't come in a size that will fit pillows.

Anyone have any genius solutions? Or do we just have to fill half the car with pillows?!

5 pillows, 3 large fleece blankets, 1 cot bed quilt keep king size sheet, 5 pillow cases. All ready for camping in 3 weeks! (I like to be organised). I will never buy any other vacuum bags ever again! Grin

Do you also take a Hoover camping?

We no! But the campsite where we are going has one we can use apparently, otherwise we use a hand pump or one that plugs into the cigarette lighter.

Hmm, no vacuum access but could maybe use a pump. Are the blow up pillows comfy?

Yes! I was doubtful but they really are.

You can get little electric pumps, v small, that will either pump or suck.
I take real pillows, and vacuum bags are my next investment, I think. Currently all passengers sit on a pillow.

We used to shove towels or a fleece or any non creasing clothing which you would probably have anyway under them to make them a bit higher if space was restricted

I'm eagerly awaiting the arrival of some vacuum bags and am going to try a variety of methods. I need pillows!

We take pillows but have never used vac bags simply cos I did not have a pump since we don't use airbeds. However I have recently invested in a pump (in case we take old air bed for extra kids) so will now rethink my packing strategy Smile
