Lake Annecy temperatures at night?

How warm will it be overnight at Lake Annecy in July/August?

I need to know whether to pack the summer duvet or winter one. The forecast is for late 20s during the day but does it get much colder at night in the Alps? Confused

We were there 5 years ago now so I can't really remember BUT, I do remember being jealous of the lady in the opposite tent who had a fan heater in her tent. I also remember it being boiling hot for the first week and then we had the most dramatic thunder storm which was amazing - (rumbles and echoes through the mountains and then beautiful clouds of condensation floating below the mountain tops - stunning). Have a great holiday.

I don't recall it being particularly cold

It can be really mixed in the region but I wouldn't say cold. Annecy is not very high so not really mountain cold at night. I am relatively hardy, live in Geneva and camp locally in the summer and wouldn't pack a winter duvet.

For perspective, we camped 1000m higher in June, slightly under prepared and were cold at night. Annecy in July / August should be OK:

Not cold in July/August - its not high enough. Be prepared for amazing storms though.

Thanks everyone. Summer duvet it is. We're in a campervan so not on the ground. We'll also have some fleece blankets if the duvet's not enough.

Will there be lots of mozzies next to the lake? I get eaten alive so will have to take every precaution.

I remember amazing storms when I camped in Italy as a kid. The tent disappeared during every lightning strike and you could see the silhouettes of the trees and mountain peaks all around. Incredible!
