We love Brittany but have been there a number of times so fancy a change. No idea where to start really. We want a site that has good swimming pool and bar on site. Not too much of an English only place- I prefer a mix of nationalities. Walking distance to a nice town. Interesting countryside. A site with trees or shady pitches and a children's play area. We'll be travelling onwards from Dieppe so are setting a limit of about 5 - 6 hours driving from there. Apart from that we're open to suggestions. Has anyone been to a good site they'd recommend?

I know this covers a massive area but I've got no idea how to narrow things down and have good recommendations on here in the past, so starting with a lovely camp site seems as good an idea as any.

We are just back from a French trip using the Dieppe ferry.
On way out we stay at Camping Municipal Route D'Or, La Flèche, here. With ACSI was €13/night including electric. Lovely town on doorstep with bars and restaurants.

On way home we stayed at Camping du lac, Tuffe. It is right on a lake and has a lovely pool too. Lake has a small beach, pedaloes etc. Town is tiny, 1 bar in an Auberge, but the site itself is fantastic and €15/ night with EHU. [[http://www.camping.tuffe.fr/ here]]
Will try and add a pic of our lake view

I've been to the municipal camp site at Bonneville and really enjoyed it, there is a bar on site. But the swimming pool is next door and covered, good though for diving and real swimming, plus it's free. River walks and we walked into the town ( didn't use the car for 5 days) which is pretty. Caught the train to the douth and cycled to Charters - that was a long day as we came back into a head wind.

Plan on returning.

Further south we stayed at 41600 Nouan-le-Fuzelier, France great site with the most fantastic pool 3 meters deep with diving boards.
Lake on site and great flat Cycling.

We caught the train to Orleans from opposite the site, again didn't use the car whilst here.

One of our best holidays had been to Luxembourg. Amazing countryside, huge mix of nationalities. Simply beautiful. We stayed here and loved the fact it wasn't a huge commercial site. It's well placed for lots of exploring.
