Lightweight chairs from eBay...

Anyone tried the cheap lightweight chairs from China? They look similar to the helinox chairs but a third of the price. We don't camp so often or so minimally that I'd want to fork out for the real thing but it'd be nice to save a bit of room and get some more pillows in. I don't mind if the quality isn't quite up to the originals but don't want them breaking after a couple of uses either. Anyone tried one?

I have 2 of the el cheapos! Used them for a year and they seem no different to the Helox ones.

Though for the difference in price I could live with only lasting a few years.

Yes! I have one. So far it seems great. Very small pack size, easy assembly, and surprisingly comfortable.
It takes my weight with no problem (65kg) and a thread I started on another site got a reply from a pleased 95kg gent who was more than happy with the chairs strength.
I now have to fight the kids for a chance to sit in it.

I know some of the cheap ones come out of the same factory as the helinox ones. I am 85kg and my friend is heavier and they take our weight.

Got a couple! I went for the ones with a higher back. Really easy to put up, quality seems fine and they'll save loads of space. I guess we'll see how well they last.
