Upgrade bell tent or add an extra pup tent?

Currently have a 3m bell tent.
Up until now, it's been perfect for me and Ds to share.
We're going to a festival in the summer and there'll be 2 adults and teen Ds.
I don't think the 3m is going to work for three of us.
I also have a pop up thingy...can't remember its name but it's like a gazebo and you can add sleeping pods to it.
My options are to upgrade to a 4m bell tent and take the awning/porch thingy or stick with the 3m, take the big pop up gazebo and buy a small pup tent for Ds.

The pop up is a Quechua...it's quite old though so not sure if you can still get the pods...off to google!!
Maybe I should just get two sleep pods and leave the neglected bell tent at home.

Hmm, I seem to be the proud new owner of a 4m bell tent BlushHmmGrin
I put in a cheeky offer on eBay and the seller has accepted it!
Better get my 3m ready to list and book in a few camping trips Smile
I asked Ds whether he'd prefer his own little tent or be in with grown ups and he opted for sharing with the grown ups so fingers crossed I haven't just wasted my cash on an impulse purchase

Congratulations! I have no idea about bell tents or PUPS, or indeed teenagers so not helpful at all! But didn't want your post going unnoticed Grin
We've only just ventured into the world of tents and camping. I love the look of bell tents.

Ha, ha, thanks Grin
I think if you hang around the camping section long enough, you'll get drawn into the world of bell tents...it's a slippery slope GrinGrin
Just found out there's a folk festival on this weekend, less than a mile from home. I'm wondering if I can persuade the teen to camp there...he was up for regular camping when I asked him yesterday so fingers crossed!

Yes yes to the folk festival! Good luck with the persuading. Grin

As I expected, it was a definite 'no' to the folk fest Grin
However, he is still up for regular camping and the site we love is only a 15 minute drive away and in the most awesome spot so I'm just as happy going there and there's a cafe on site serving breakfast on sunday morning

4m bells are awesome, so much more spacious :o My first experience was with a borrowed 3m which was lovely, but when it came to getting our own we decided to go for 4m in order to feel less cramped. It's just me and DP but we camp for LARP events only so we need a lot of space for gear. I think more than two adults in a 3m is pushing it a bit unless you have very minimal gear - even if you're not trying to fit in weaponry, armour and three changes of pseudo historical costume :o
