Can anyone recommend a site/s in Italy?

We would like to go to Italy next year and are hoping to find a eurocamp style site with mobile homes. We have stayed in similar in France and by booking direct have saved £££s so I was hoping to find the same in Italy but my search is proving more difficult.

Can anyone recommend anywhere? Haven't decided on a region yet, but possibly considering a two centre trip, in which case we would want one of the places to be close enough to Rome for a couple of day trips.
TIA

camp fabulous on outskirts of rome, eurocamp. a bus ride away from Rome centre. lovely site with loads for little ones and older kids. Great for adults with a bar and restaurant on site, fabulous gelataria on site and a really reasonable takeaway. i would go back in a shot. They can also sort out your vatican tickets and all the other touristy bits. i really loved it and i am hard to please. Feel free to PM me for any more info! Grin

Norcenni Girasole. It's so nice there.

Le Pianacce. Book direct. Beautiful site, 20 minute trail walk (ie not suitable for pushchairs but fine for older kids, especially in the dark) to charming village with good restaurants. High season minibus to beach. Possible day trips to Lucca/Pisa, Elba, Sienna, Florence etc.

Another vote for Norcenni Girasole , a great base for exploring Tuscany . Great pool , restaurants and gelataria on site.

We're just back from Norcenni Girasole. Good base for Florence, Lucca and Siena but a bit too far from Rome for day trips we thought.

We just stayed on one in Pisa. 10 mins walk to the tower. Lovely staff. Great mobile homes and nice pool. Would be a great base to explore the area too. 10 mins from the train station.
