I have a 2 year old DD and two boys (14 and 12) so something that will have facilities for all ages.

We have stayed on rustic campsites with not much going on to big campsites with club house and entertainment etc. Happy on both.

Any good recommendations?

We like Middle Woodbatch Farm in Shropshire. The showers etc are immaculate but there's no play area or anything. However, they do allow children to go and look at the lambs etc and they allow camp fires. It's close to the Long Mynd for walking and there are nice pubs that do food nearby too.

Hardwick Park near Witney. More in the not much going on category but you can book watersports on the lake and there's a lively clubhouse. You can swim in the lake too. Very clean and lots of hot water.

We've just been to Forestside Farm in Staffordshire. Another small, quiet site. Nice showers/loos and superb location for the Peak District and various attractions including Alton Towers.

Fforest Fields near Builth Wells in mid Wales. There is a lake with kayak hire and it has the best facilities of any site I've ever been too. Not much in the way of nightlife though Grin
